LinkedIn profileDr. Vincent Khor is a urologist with a sub-specialty interest in Uro-Oncology and is currently training to become an academic urologist. He graduated with an MBBS from Manipal University, India, in 2013, and began his career as a house and medical officer in Malaysia and Singapore. In 2015, he passed the Intercollegiate MRCS examination from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, furthering his basic surgical training and solidifying his passion for urology. He obtained a Master of Surgery (ChM) in Urology from the University of Edinburgh in 2019. Subsequently, he completed his urology specialty training in Malaysia in November 2024, under the Malaysian Board of Urology, and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Urology from Glasgow, UK.
Dr. Vincent is also an alumnus of Harvard Medical School, having completed the Global Clinical Scholar Research Training programme in 2023. He is a recipient of the Ten Outstanding Penang Youth 2024 Award, a recognition highlighting his contributions to the community and his profession, and was the first Malaysian to receive a scholarship for a short clinical visit from the European Association of Urology.
Dr. Vincent's research interests include prostate cancer diagnostics, robotic surgery, and focal therapy. He is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance patient care, exemplified by his development of an app to track ureteral stents in his institution. He has played a central role in establishing the MRI-US fusion prostate biopsy service and the prostate cancer focal therapy service at Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital.
